Well organised event with plenty of feed
stations. In 2015 it was hot and many folk suffered with cramp
and nausea, particularly when approaching the Grasmere check point
at the hottest part of the day. The checkpoints tended to run
out of food for slower runners and later on the coke energy drink
became diet coke. Great T shirts. Presentation was in the
middle of the next day which was a bit late really. Expensive
but great event and I plan top
do it again.
Mostly well marked, although the markings did peter out in places. Suitable for those new to ultradistance. Also it is a bit longer than 55Km :-) |
