Broadoaks is a relatively flat, functional and long XC course with quite a lot of energy sapping mud along the way.   The men's course takes in four ~ 1.5 mile laps.  Although there is a sports centre on-site, its derelict and the basic toilet facilities are such that the bushes are much more inviting unless you really have to use the loos. No hard paths on the course so XC spikes are fine.
